Robert Ellis exhibition at Auckland Art Gallery

This exhibition focuses on his motorway series and also around his wife’s family land up north.

Call this summer? Cricket, golf and petanque all cancelled.

I can recommend a good read though 🙂 This is set in 1912 during NZ’s foremost industrial dispute – it ripped the town of Waihi apart and set in motion what was to become the NZ Labour Party. Read how principles changed and got lost throughout the strike as you follow the story through the eyes of a scarlet runner.
